Chrome Corundum Brick

Chromium corundum brick is made of α-Al2O3, chromium oxide powder, and chromium corundum clinker fine powder as raw material, after mixing, forming, drying, and firing at high temperature in a shuttle kiln. It can also be by the slip casting method. The α-Al2O3 powder and the chromium oxide powder are uniformly mixed, and the glue and organic binder are added to make a thick slurry. At the same time, part of the chromium corundum clinker is added to shape the brick. Then it will be fired in a shuttle kiln.


The product has the characteristics of high wear resistance, good thermal shock resistance, excellent acid, and alkali corrosion resistance, good thermal shock stability, and high temperature creep.

Chrome corundum bricks are mainly used for the lining of carbon black furnaces, copper smelting furnaces, zinc oxide melting furnaces, steel rolling heating furnaces, steel tapping platforms, hot metal pretreatment devices, garbage incinerators, coal water slurry pressurized gasifiers backing, etc. In glass furnaces, chrome corundum bricks are mainly used in the stacks and uptakes of fiberglass furnaces, the highly corroded parts of colored glass, the sidewalls, bottom paving, and forehearths of the insulation fiberglass furnaces and throat of frits melting furnaces.
